Jack Campbell 46.9, Harold Bogrow gave up after 370m. Klemmer, 3. Herbert, 4. Campbell; Heat 2, 14.35 Hr: 1. Kerns 48.5, 2. Diebolt, 3. Bogrow, 4. Marshall (non-qualifier).  Thus there was only 35 minutes between and second heat and the final!
