The Penn State Relays will be streamed live on Flotrack.org, but users must have a FloPro account. Live results will be available on GoPSUsports.com for no charge.

Four members of the Penn State track & field team won multiple events to lead the Blue team to a 138-130 win over the White team Saturday afternoon (Dec. 13) at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track. Shelley Black (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.), Rachel Fatherly (Williamsport, Pa.),Darrell Hill (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Brian Leap (Bellwood, Pa.) swept their respective events for the Penn State Blue team.
The meet was still up for grabs heading into both 4x400-meter relays. The White team on the women’s side held a 68-67 lead over the women’s Blue team, while the Blue team on the men’s side held a 61-59 lead over the White team.
The women’s Blue 4x400-meter relay team of Black, Ahmenah Richardson (Philadelphia, Pa.), Deja Davis (Shelby Charter Township, Mich.) and Typhanee Booker (Cibolo, Texas) took an early lead and would not look back as they finished with a time of 3 minutes, 54.67 seconds to secure the meet for the Blue team.
On the men’s side, the Blue 4x400-meter relay team of Riley Gaibler (Lansdale, Pa.), Joey Logue (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Thomas Damiani(Tunkhannock, Pa.) and Brad Rivera (Bensalem, Pa.) sealed the title for the men as they posted a time of 3:24.68.
Fatherly won the shot put (49 feet, 5 inches) and won the weight throw (62-3.25), while Hill swept the shot put and the weight throw on the men’s side for the Blue team. Hill posted distances of 64-3.25 (shot put) and 58.11.25 (weight throw).
Leap of the Blue team also tallied a pair of victories on the afternoon. Leap cleared a distance of 22-10 in the long jump and a mark of 49-11 in the triple jump.
LAST YEAR AT THE PENN STATE RELAYS
In what was the highlight of the day, the women's 4x200 relay ran a blistering 1:35.65, setting a new meet, facility, Penn State and collegiate record and besting second-place Pittsburgh by almost three seconds. The record-setting team, comprised of redshirt-seniorMahagony Jones (Cleveland, Ohio), Dynasty McGee (Flint, Mich.), freshman Megan Osborne (Chillicothe, Ohio) and sophomore Kiah Seymour (Washington, D.C.), paced a very good day on the women's side with the record-breaking relay win.
In addition to the relay victory, Jones also took the 60 meter dash (7.41) and McGee won the 200 meters in a time of 24.29, a new best for the junior.
In an eventful first day for the teams, redshirt-senior Evonne Britton (El Paso, Texas) set a new meet record in the 60 meter hurdles with an 8.27. Junior Shelley Black (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) and Brittany Howell (Wyncote, Pa.) finished third and fourth in the event. After an outstanding 4x200 meter relay, Osborne, Seymour, joined Black and freshman Tichina Rhodes (Philadelphia, Pa.) for a win in the 4x400 relay, outpacing closest-competitor Pittsburgh by more than two seconds. Rhodes was back again in the Distance Medley Relay were she paired with senior Marta Klebe (Chesterbrook, Pa.), sophomore Sarah Jane Underwood (Alexandria, Va.) and junior Abbie Benson(Elma, N.Y.) for the win in 11:44.84.

Penn State dominated the field events, with Nittany Lions at the top of the list in the both the men's and women's pole vault and the men's and women's weight throw. Freshman Lexi Masterson (Jeannette, Pa.) started the season with a first-place mark of 12-05.50, while on the men's side junior Dylan Bilka (Seven Fields, Pa.) cleared 16-00.75 for the victory.
In the weight throw on the women's side, sophomore Rachel Fatherly (Williamsport, Pa.) had a heave of 59-00.75, which was good enough for first place, beating Chioma Onyekwere from Maryland by almost two feet. Fatherly also finished second in the shot put with a throw of 47-5.

NO. 5 IN THE LAND
The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released their Preseason National Computer Rankings earlier this week (Jan. 6) and the Nittany Lion men were ranked No. 5.
Four Nittany Lion men rank in the top-25 in the 800-meter run, including Brannon Kidder (Lancaster, Ohio). Last year at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup, Kidder posted a personal-best time of 1:47.45, which was the second-fastest time during the 2013-14 indoor season. Along with Kidder, the Nittany Lion men return 800-meter runner Za'Von Watkins (Liverpool, N.Y.). Watkins ran the 11th-fastest time (1:48.11) in the 800-meter run during the 2013-14 indoor season. Joining Kidder and Watkins on the track is senior Robby Creese(Mount Airy, Md.).
During the 2013 indoor season, Creese ran 3:57.11 in the mile and 1:49.13 in the 800-meter run. His times rank third and 22nd, respectively. Creese, Kidder and Watkins were on the Penn State distance medley relay squad that was half a second off the world record last season. Creese, Kidder, Watkins and Brandon Bennett-Green (Philadelphia, Pa.) clocked in at 9:26.59 in the DMR last year at the Penn State National.
All-American triple jumper Steve Waithe (Parkville, Md.) returns to Penn State for his senior year. Last year, Waithe finished sixth in the triple jump at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships with his mark of 51-10.50.
Also in the field events, Darrell Hill (Philadelphia, Pa.) enters the year with the 17th-best mark in the shot put (62-2.5) and in the multi-events, Robert Cardina (Lancaster, Pa.) has the 12th-best heptathlon score (5,511).
THREE-IN-A-ROW
The Penn State women’s track & field team has won three-straight Big Ten conference titles (2014 indoor & 2013-14 outdoor). The women are looking to defend their 2014 indoor conference title and win their fourth Big Ten indoor conference title Feb. 27-28 at the SPIRE Center in Geneva, Ohio.
RETURNING ALL-AMERICANS
The Nittany Lions return six first team All-Americans from the 2014 campaign. Dynasty McGee, Tichina Rhodes, Kiah Seymour and Steve Waithe were named All-Americans in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
BREAKIN' RECORDS
Twelve school records were broken between the men’s and women’s track & field teams last season. The quartet of Megan Osborne,Kiah Seymour, Dynasty McGee and Mahagony Jones set the collegiate record in the 4x200-meter relay with their time of 1 minute, 35.65 seconds.

The Nittany Lions are set to welcome teams from across the nation into the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track as they host five meets during the 2015 indoor season. Penn State will not travel until Feb. 13-14 when they split squads to three meets (Husky Classic, SPIRE Invitational and the Tyson Invitational).
A BAKER'S DOZEN SIGNS EARLY
Thirteen new student-athletes signed their National Letter of Intent during the week-long early signing period in November.
Colin Abert (Easton, Pa.), Devin Bradham (Williamstown, N.J.), Frances Bull (Mentor, Ohio), Isaiah Harris (Lewiston, Maine), Maddie Holmberg (Greensburg, Pa.), Peter Hughey (Chambersburg, Pa.), David Lucas (Lititz, Pa.), David Marrington (Langhorne, Pa.), Myles Marshall (Kingwood, Texas), Sam Reiser (St Kilda, Aus.), Sarah Stanley (South Park, Pa.), Abby Stultz (Frederick, Md.) and Grace Trucilla (Erie, Pa.) have signed a National Letter of Intent and will attend Penn State next fall.
