LOS ANGELES – UCLA athletics will be represented by the track and field team at the 30th Annual Kingdom Parade in Los Angeles, presented by the Congress of Racial Equality of California. The parade is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 19, with a live broadcast slated to start at 11 a.m. on KABC-TV.
“We are excited to honor and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King,” UCLA director of track and field, Mike Maynard said. “This day and this parade, have given me the opportunity to discuss and share some of Dr. King’s messages with our student-athletes.”
The parade was organized to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. The parade will start at the intersection of Bulldog Ave., and Martin Luther King Blvd., and will last three miles. The parade will conclude on Crenshaw Blvd.
