Press Release by Brooks Running
Brooks Beast Casimir Loxsom broke the indoor 600-meter run American Record today in Albuquerque, clocking a blazing fast 1:15.58.
His American Record is the first for the Brooks Beast team and comes just a season after he brought home the silver medal in the 800m run at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last year. Loxsom turned in this record performance in his first race of the season at the University of New Mexico Lobo Open, offering a glimpse into his and the team’s fitness and goals for this year’s competition. Erik Sowinski ran the previous American Record of 1:15.61 in 2013.
Loxsom is part of a growing and improving team of Brooks Beasts middle distance athletes, based out of Seattle. As the indoor track season kicks off, plan to see him and the rest of the Beasts at meets across the country. If you have questions about Loxsom’s performance or the team, or if you’d like to set up a time to talk to Loxsom, please let me know.
