Former Texas A&M track and field coach Thomas made impact both on and off the track

Former Texas A&M track coach Charlie Thomas had a gift for getting the most out athletes in an unassuming manner.

Aggie great Randy Matson, considered the greatest shot-putter by many, fondly remembers Thomas, 83, who died Monday.
