3-Time All-American

2012-13: Indoors - Transfer from Dartmouth scored in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meters for the eventual NCAA Champions to earn a pair of all-America awards. Was fourth in the 5,000 meters at the Husky Classic (15:54.64). Won the 3,000 meters at the MPSF Championships in a personal-best 9:07.97. That was the third-fastest time in school history. Ran the third-fastest 5,000 meters in school history at the NCAA Championships, placing sixth in 15:47.13. Took eighth in the 3,000 meters at the NCAA meet in 9:12.38. Cross Country - Began the regular season by recording a time of 17:12.9 (5,000 meters) in the Park Pier Invitational and placing second. Won the Dellinger Invitational with an individual time of 16:23 (5,000 meters). Was central to Oregon’s first place team finish at the meet. Found continued success at the 6,000 meter race at the Pre-Nationals, recording a time of 19:56.9 and placing third out of 265 runners. Was also Oregon’s top finisher at the meet and propelled the Ducks to a second place team finish. Helped Oregon win the Pac-12 Conference Championships with an individual time of 20:12 (6,000 meters) and a fourth place individual finish. Was Oregon’s third finisher and tenth place finisher overall at the NCAA Division One West Regional meet with time of 19:54 (6,000 meters). Finished eighth individually at the NCAA Championships with a time of 19:43.9 (6,000 meters). Contributed the Duck’s second fastest individual time helping the team win the national title. Named an All-American by the USTFCCCA. Season Bests: Indoors - 3,000 Meters - 9:07.97 (PR), MPSF Championships, Seattle, Wash. (2/23/13); 5,000 Meters - 15:47.13 (PR), NCAA Championships, Fayetteville, Ark. (3/8/13).

Before Oregon: A two-time NCAA all-American. One of nine finalists for the 2012 NCAA Woman of the Year award. Was third in the steeplechase at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor meet in 10:01.20, earning all-America honors. Has a personal-best in the event of 9:55.89, a Dartmouth school record, from the 2012 NCAA East Preliminary Rounds. She also won the that season's Ivy League title in the steeplechase (9:58.80) and qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene. Ran the lead leg on Dartmouth's third place distance medley relay squad (11:06.29) at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Championships. Was also a three-year member of the cross country team. Dartmouth Bests: 1,500 Meters - 4:18.41, 2012; Mile - 4:44.56, 2012, 3,000 Meters - 9:14.75, 2012; 3,000 Meter Steeplechase - 9:55.89, 2011.

Prep: Is a graduate of Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland, Calif., where she lettered in cross country and track and field for three years, and soccer for two. Served as captain of her soccer and cross country teams her senior year. From 2005-2007, won six Hayward Area Athletic League Championships (HAAL), two cross country, three track and soccer. Was vice president of her sophomore, junior and senior classes at Bishop O'Dowd, and was the recipient of the President's Education Award, as well as the Campus Ministry Award.

Personal: Aspiring filmmaker will pursue a master's degree in interdisciplinary studies at Oregon, focusing on film, English, and entrepreneurial business. Grandfather, Jerome North, played basketball at New York University in the mid 1940's.
