EUGENE, Ore. – With the NCAA Championships once again highlighting the Oregon track and field schedule, the Ducks will host an addditional three collegiate meets during the 2015 season, head coach Robert Johnson announced, Thursday.

The NCAA Championships will return to Eugene, June 10-13, for the third consecutive season and 13th time in the meet’s history. The 2015 Championships mark the first in a seven-year agreement for the University of Oregon to host through 2021. Eugene now ties Chicago, which hosted the meet 13 times between 1921 and 1936, for the most of any city in the country.

“We are really excited about our home schedule,” said head coach Robert Johnson. “Hayward Field will once again be the center of track and field in the United States with the NCAA Championships here in June.”

The Ducks will also host the Pepsi Team Invitational, headlined by SEC power Kentucky. The Wildcats’ women’s team finished seventh at the NCAA Outdoor meet in 2014 while the men took 15th. The Ducks will also welcome Pac-12 rival Washington, which makes its 10th appearance at the meet in the past 12 years. Last year, Oregon hosted Arizona in a dual meet that propelled both squads to top finishes in Track and Field News’ Dual Meet rankings. The team looks to up the ante this year with addition of a third nationally recognized team in a tri-meet scored format.

“The Pepsi meet is traditionally one of the best scored meets in the country and this year is no different. Facing teams like Kentucky and Washington at home prepares our athletes for the kind of competition they will face at the end of the season.”

The Pepsi Team Invitational will be part of back-to-back home meets at Hayward Field with the Oregon Relays following, April 16-18. A portion of the squad will travel to the Mt. SAC Relays during the same weekend.

The final home meet of the regular season is the annual Oregon Twilight held Friday, May 8. Similar to years past the meet will look to feature notable Ducks alums.

Oregon will start the outdoor season at the USC Trojan Invitational March 20-21, one week after contending at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., March 13-14. The Ducks will be in northern California April 3-4 for the Stanford Invitational.

Also on the schedule for the season is the 121st Penn Relays, April 23-25 followed by the OSU High Performance Meet, May 1 and the Payton Jordan Invitational, May 2.

The Ducks will look to capture Pac-12 titles for the ninth straight year on the men’s side while making it seven straight for the women at the Pac-12 Championships hosted by UCLA, May 16-17.

Oregon track and field will first look to defend its pair of titles at the NCAA Indoor Championship, after a sweep by the men and women in 2014. The 2015 edition of the championships return to Arkansas, March 13-14 where the Oregon women will aim for an NCAA record sixth-consecutive title.

The indoor season kicks off at the Washington Preview, January 17, the first of three-straight weekends of competition. Oregon will be represented at the Rod McCravy Invitational in Kentucky, Jan. 23-24 as well as the UW Invitational, Jan. 30-31.

The team will be split between the Husky Classic, Don Kirby Elite and 108th Millrose Games before competing at the MPSF Championships, also held in Seattle, Feb. 27-28.

Season ticket renewals will be available in December, with a due date in February. New season tickets will be available for purchase in February while single meet tickets will go on sale in March.

Keith Conning: I'm planning to attend the NCAA Championships in June. I wasn't able to go this year because of major depression, but now I'm feeling much better.
