Petersson Wins Danish Half Marathon Championships


(Colorado Springs, CO) - Jessica Petersson (Marathon Sport) easily won the Danish Half Marathon Championships held today in Aarhus, Denmark. Despite windy conditions, Petersson, a member of the American Distance Project's International Elite, posted a time of 1:14:15 taking the title by 2-minutes and 15-seconds. Her performance likely selects her for both the 2014 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships to be hosted by Denmark in Copenhagen on March 29th, and also the European Championships marathon.

Dey 5th At Minnesota Mile; Kanuho Wins UCCS Rust Buster XC


(Colorado Springs, CO) - Dey Dey (adidas/BRC) finished 5th in a stacked field at the Minnesota Mile in Duluth hosted by Grandma's Marathon on Sunday morning. Dey finished with a time of 3:55 and picked up $800 for his efforts. Matt Elliott (Brooks), coming off of a stellar track season, was 8th also dipping under 4:00 with a 3:59.


Back in Colorado Springs, Rochelle Kanuho (adidas/BRC) ran away from the field in the women's 4k of the UCCS Rust Buster Cross Country meet, taking the title in . Anthony Mallory finished second in the men's 6k, while Brandon Birdsong (adidas/BRC) finished 3rd at the Joe I Vigil Invite hosted by Adams State University in Almosa, CO.
