Elliott & Dey In Grandma's Minnesota Mile; Kanuho To Race UCCS Rust Buster; Birdsong At Vigil XC


(Colorado Springs, CO) - Matt Elliott (Brooks) and Dey Dey (adidas/BRC) will both toe the line at Sunday's Minnesota Mile in Duluth, MN, hosted by Grandma's Marathon. The duo will be competing for almost $10,000 in prize money with $3,000 going to first place.


On Saturday, Rochelle Kanuho (adidas/BRC) will get her season started competing in the women's 4k at the UCCS Rust Buster cross country meet in Colorado Springs, CO, while Brandon Birdsong (adidas/BRC) will return to his alma mater, Adams State University to race the Joe I. Vigil Open in Alamosa, CO.

Petersson To Compete In Danish Half Marathon Championships


(Colorado Springs, CO) - Jessica Petersson (Marathon Sport), a member of the American Distance Project's International Elite, will be competing in Sunday's Danish Half Marathon Championships in Aarhus, Denmark. She will be attempting to qualify for the Danish national team for the 2014 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships to be hosted by her country in Copenhagen March 29th. Petersson, who joined the ADP in April, was a 2012 London Olympian in the marathon where she placed 40th and has a half marathon best of 1:13:28.
