Joe Dreyer (Acalanes HS, Lafayette) and Stephanie Diettinger (Whitney HS, Rocklin 2013) top high school vaulters

Scott Strohmeyer and Mike Hochderffer, coaches at Woodland High and at Pioneer High School in Woodland have combined their coaching talents to create and promote indoor pole vaulting at The Factory, an indoor facility at 460 Harter Way in Woodland, as part of the Yolo Striders track and field club. On Saturday,

January 14, they hosted one of four upcoming Winter/Spring pole vault
competitions which saw high school athlete Joe Dreyer win the high school boys competition at 13'6" and Stephanie Diettinger finish as the top high school female.


The next event will happen on Saturday, February 4th and will be open only to open athletes as this will be a "dead period" for competitiors.
