Fayetteville, Ark. - The Stanford track teams got things started at the Razorback Invitational on Friday night, although the majority of events will be contested on Friday.
The Cardinal women were led by Arantxa King in the long jump. King leaped 21-0 ¾ to win the competition and prove she is completely back from injuries that cost her the 2011 season. Teammates Karynn Dunn (20-0 ¼) and Jordan Merback (18-11) were also in the mix.
Also performing well was Katerina Stefanidi who took second in the pole vault. The Cardinal senior cleared 14-3 ¼, but fell short of Tina Sutej of Arkansas. Sutej is the defending indoor champion and quickly becoming a rival for the Stanford record holder.

Hendricks also doubled in the 200, leading the Cardinal group with an eighth-place finish in 24.25.
In the distances, Stanford fell behind in the DMR, but Justine Fedronic ran a blazing 800-meter leg and handed to Julia Foster who finished with a 1,600-meter leg that closed the rest of the gap to give Stanford the win in 11:40.63. Jessica Tonn and Emilie Amaro ran the first two legs of the winning team.
Finally, Madeline Treasure debuted in the pentathlon, finishing seventh with and impressive score of 3,494 points. The total ranks Treasure fourth in Stanford history in the event. Her top point total came from the 60-meter hurdles where she ran 9.28 to receive 852 points. Treasure also excelled in the 800 meters where her time of 2:23.21 was the second fastest in the competition.
