By Dennis Young, USTFCCCA
February 25, 2015

NEW ORLEANS – Placidity and stability continue to rule the NAIA roost. The top three men’s teams and the top four women’s teams–both led by No. 1 Indiana Tech–remained the same as they’ve been in every single edition of the rankings this season. Wednesday’s rankings were released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

No. 2 Doane (Neb.) and No. 3 Wayland Baptist stayed in those spots in both the men’s and women’s rankings, as they have all season.
In the men’s rankings, No. 4 Oklahoma Baptist and No. 5Concordia (Neb.) flip-flopped. Women’s No. 4 Oklahoma Baptistand No. 5 Cornerstone (Mich.) stayed in the same place they’ve been all five weeks in 2015.
Two teams joined the men’s top twenty-five this week: No. 14Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) and No. 24 Northwood (Fla.); that’s the first time in the top twenty-five for Northwood in 2015. The former moved up twelve spots, and the latter nineteen.
The same number of women’s teams were newly ranked this week: No. 23 Concordia (Ore.) and No. 24 Indiana Wesleyan each moved up five rungs in the rankings.
These are the penultimate rankings before the March 5-7 national championships in Geneva, Ohio. The final rankings of the indoor season will be released next Monday, March 2.
