Kevin A. Yamamura runs the Boston Marathon in 2:54:41

Kevin A. Yamamura, 37, editor on the Sacramento Bee's Local News Desk, where he oversees education and local government reporters,  ran the Boston Marathon today in 2 hours, 54 minutes, and 41 seconds.  That is a pace of 6 minutes and 40 seconds per mile.

Kevin is married to Mackenzie Tysell Yamamura, 38, of Sacramento.  She is the daughter of Dr. James Tysell of Lafayette, the Medical Director, CCHP at Contra Costa Health Services  He and I have been to five World Track Championships with Track and Field News Tours: 2001 Edmonton, Canada; 2003 Paris, France; 2005 Helsinki, Finland; and 2009 Berlin, Germany.
