Sacramento State's Chloe Berlioux was named the Big Sky Women's Track Athlete of the Week

                             

OGDEN, Utah — Sacramento State's Chloe Berlioux was named the Big Sky Women's Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced today. The honor is the first for Berlioux during the outdoor season. She also earned the award during the cross country season.
Berlioux, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., posted the fastest time in the Big Sky this season after taking fifth in a strong 800 meter field at the Sacramento State Open. She crossed the line in 2:08.74 to join teammate Amanda Garcia as the only other Big Sky female athlete to crack 2:10 in the event outdoors in 2016. Berlioux was the third collegiate finisher as former Sac State standout and Big Sky record holder Lea Wallace was second in the field. The senior enters the Big Sky Championships ranked first in the 800, second in the 1,500 and fifth in the 5,000. Berlioux is the defending champion in the 1,500 and was second in the 5K last season at the conference outdoor meet.
