Jim Conning joins Iron.io, with more than 20 years of technical and engineering management experience, including Fortune 500s and startups such as Scribd and Piczo. Most recently, Jim was SVP of engineering at Dictionary.com, the world’s leading online dictionary.
Jim specializes in producing innovative new products and developing scalable, high-volume applications. He has built and managed extensive cross-continent development teams and conceived of and developed tools that manipulate the large digital map databases of NavTeq and TeleAtlas. He also participated in world-class software development integration at Oracle and in the web trading division of Charles Schwab. As vp of engineering, Jim brings wisdom and experience with a focus on early deliverables and quick iterations while balancing solid software development with speed to market.

Keith Conning: James Conning, 50, is my oldest son. He graduated from Berkeley High School in 1984 and UC Davis in 1989. He was an Eagle Scout in Troop 5 Boy Scouts of America. He is married to Pae Jamroonjit of Thailand and has one daughter Jasmine, 3. They live in Dublin and have a second home in Nakone Ratchashima, Thailand. He ran the Bay to Breakers. We moved from Vacaville to Pleasanton in 2014 to be closer to our granddaughter.
