Orji Glides To New 2016 Top NCAA Mark

2015: Outdoor -- Won the hammer throw at the Georgia Relays (202 feet, 8 inches), Florida Relays (season-best mark of 211-8), Spec Towns Invite (197-11) and Georgia Invite (196-1)...Fouled out of both the SEC Championships and NCAA East Prelims. Indoor - Launched her second attempt in the weight throw a personal-best distance of 66-1.50 to take fifth at the McCravy Memorial.

California (2012-14) - 2014: Earned runner-up honors in the hammer throw at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships.

2013: Took third in the weight at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Indoor Championships...Was fifth in the hammer at the 2013 Pac-12 Championships...Freshman record holder in the hammer.

*Completed a gap year after graduation to train for World Junior Championships and Olympic Trials...Was fourth in the weight at the USA Indoor Championships (Weight)...Competed at USA Olympic Trials and recorded an American Junior record of 223-6 in the hammer...Earned a spot on the USA World Championships team... Personal-best marks of 71 feet, 4 inches (weight) and 223-6 (hammer).

High School: Won back-to-back indoor national championships in the weight throw and earned second place honors in the shot put nationally as a junior and was an indoor All-American in the shot as a senior....
