May 22, 2013
NEW ORLEANS – Collegiate Track & Field Championships Season is set to get underway this weekend with the Division I East & West Preliminary Rounds, the Division II Championships and the Division III Championships. Listed below are links to previews and news & notes for all three divisions, with extensive previews for Division II and III.
Division I East & West Prelims
This weekend begins the three-week, three-location process that is the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships, beginning at the East and West Preliminary Rounds in Greensboro, N.C., and Austin, Texas, respectively this Thursday through Saturday and culminating in the National Finals in Eugene, Ore, on June 5-8.

Division II Outdoor Championships
The air in Pueblo, Colo., may be thinner than many other places around the country, but the plotlines for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships to be held there Thursday through Saturday certainly run quite thick. Season-long rankings races will be settled, individual rivalries will be renewed, event crowns will be defended — or lost — and multiple former division champions will square off as the Division II track & field season comes to an exciting conclusion this weekend.

Division III Outdoor Championships
It has been an unseasonably cold spring up in La Crosse, Wis., but the weather has turned the corner just in time for the Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at UW-La Crosse Thursday through Saturday. Temperatures in the 60s and 70s are projected throughout the meet and though Saturday’s finals might see some rain, it should not dampen what are shaping up to be excellent races for the team titles. Individual storylines also run thick, as well, with a number of former champions attempting to defend or reclaim their titles and a few all-time top-10 matchups.
