2012-13: XC: Helped lead the men’s team to its 12th Big West Conference when he captured the individual title with a time of 24:10… Opened the season with a second place finish (24:56) at the Lagoon Open, followed by an eighth place finish (24:57) at the Pac-12 Preview… Posted a time of 24:13 (83rd) at the Wisconsin meet… Rounded out cross country season with a 31st (30:25) place finish at the NCAA West Regional…
2011-12: XC: Competed in six meets including the NCAA’s where he finished 162nd with a time of 31:48 in helping the team to a 28th place.. at West Regional he finished 44th with a time of 30:17 with the team earning 3rd place… Finished 19th at BWC with the team winning the title…
Track: Competed in six meets and three events, 3000, 5000 and 10000… Qualified for the NCAA West Regional in the 10000, but did not post a time.. Ran a PR of 29:44.14 in the 10000 at the Stanford Invite… and also posted a PR in the 5000 with a time of 14:18.48 at the Mt. SAC Relays….
2010-11: XC: Competed in five meets as a freshman and finished 12th at the Big West Conference Championship with a time of 24:42… Helping the team to a fifth place finish… With his 12th place finish he was name Big West Conference Freshman of the Year….
Track: Competed in six meets including the BWC in two events, 5000 and 10000…. Recorded a PR in the 3000 with a time of 8:24.10 at the CP/Fresno St. dual…. Ran a season-best in the 5000 with a time of 14:19.83 at the Mt. SAC Relays… Recorded a time of 30:23.65 in the 10000 at the BWC ….
High School--Chris attended Buena High School in Ventura, CA. He participated in basketball, cross country and track and field. In track he was recognized by having an award named after him. He had PR's of 1:57, 4:17, and 9:13 in the 800M, 1600M, and 3200M runs.
Personal--Chris is majoring in Kinesiology and plans on pursuing a career in physical therapy. His biggest influence on his running career was his high school track coach, Wendy Dowler, who inspired him to set his goals high and to believe in himself.
