Reubennette Camarena (Webdell) Spencer

Reubennette Webdell Camarena Spencer, 94, passed away in Woodland on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010. She was born on Oct. 4, 1915, to Reuben and Laura (Mills) Webdell in Yuba City. She grew up in Oroville, where she met and married Charles Camarena in September 1932. They moved to Woodland in 1938, where they established the Woodland Bakery until Charles' death in 1956. She married Ellery Spencer in August 1963.
She was employed by Clarence Tracy at Tracy Motor Company from 1949 to 1970 and Elm Ford from 1970 to 1978. She was a charter member of the Woodland Soroptimist Club and a charter member of Woodland Organ Club. She enjoyed family and friends, listening to music, reading, traveling, and spending time at Eagle Lake.
She is survived by her devoted family: Son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Marilyn Camarena; step-daughters, Janice Spencer Crowley and Linda Spencer (Larry) Gilbert; grandchildren, Anthony Camarena, James Camarena (Julie), Christi Camarena (Garey) White, Jillian Camarena (Dustin) Williams, Lisa Camarena (Bill) Fries, Casey Crowley (Sean) Avalos, Karen Crowley (Luis) Rodriguez, Larry II, Steven, Chris, and Scott Gilbert. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Camarena (1956) and Ellery Spencer (1980); son, Wendell Camarena; and infant grandson, Michael Camarena.
She leaves behind her faithful friends, Bill and Esther McGrew, and Joy Paulson, and caregiver, Kim Jenkins.
As per her request, there will be no funeral service. Burial arrangements are through the Nautilus Society of Sacramento with internment at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 CR-22, Woodland.
