"The Cardinal women will be led by junior D’Ana McCarty, the defending NCAA and BIG EAST weight throw champion, and seniors Jere’ Summers, Rachel Gehret and Saravia Richardson. McCarty and Summers rank first and second nationally in the weight throw with marks of 73’4.5 (22.36m) and 70’10.5 (21.60m) respectively, while Summers also owns the third-longest toss in the shot put at 55’9.25 (17.00m)."
