    Lapinlahti (Swedish: Lapinlax) is a municipality of Finland.
    It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Northern Savonia region. The municipality has a population of 10,076 (30 June 2015)[2] and covers an area of 1,245.13 square kilometres (480.75 sq mi) of which 148.58 km2 (57.37 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 9.19 inhabitants per square kilometre (23.8/sq mi).
    The neighboring municipality of Varpaisjärvi was consolidated with Lapinlahti on January 1, 2011.[6]
    The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
