Berkeley, Calif. – Former Cal sprinter/hurdler Ray Stewart caught up with CalBears.com on his upcoming appearance at the Pan Am Games in Toronto. Stewart is making his first appearance for the United States in the games, running the 110-meter hurdles on July 24, 2015.
“Representing the United States is physically one of the hardest things you can accomplish,” says Stewart. “For me, this is what I’ve always dreamed of since I was a child.”
The former Cal Bear shared some insight about his time as a student athlete at Cal, as well as discussing his endeavors once leaving Berkeley and his hopes for his future career. You can follow Ray’s preliminary heat at the Pan Am Games beginning at 7:10 am PST here, with the final scheduled for 10:10 am PST.
