NBC Sports to Air Live Coverage of 2015 PREFONTAINE CLASSIC, 5/30

NBC Sports Group presents live coverage of the 2015 Prefontaine Classic this Saturday, May 30, from Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and continuing at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
The Prefontaine Classic, named after famed American distance runner Steve Prefontaine, is the premier track and field meet in the United States, and one of two stops in NORTH AMERICA on the prestigious Diamond League. Saturday marks the 40th anniversary of Prefontaine's death. Track and field athletes ranked in the top 50 in the world in their events are eligible to compete.
Events include the women's 100m featuring two-time Olympic gold medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica and U.S. Olympic silver medalist Carmelita Jeter. Headlining the women's 400m for the U.S. are Olympic gold medalists Sanya Richards-Ross and Allyson Felix.
Competing for the U.S. on the men's side are Olympic gold medalist LaShawn Merritt in the 400m, five-time Olympic medalist Justin Gatlin in the 200m, and Olympic gold medalist Aries Merritt in the 110m hurdles. International contenders include Olympic gold medalist Kirani James of Grenada facing Merritt in the men's 400m.
