2013 TRACK: Had a strong showing for SF State in the spring running distance events ... finished with a team-best time in multiple events, including the 1500m, 5K and 10K ... clocked in at 4:53.96 for a season- and personal-best time in the 1500m ... her 17:37.18 finish in the 5K at the SF State Distance Carnival (3/29) places her third in the all-time SF State list and gave her a new personal record ... at the CCAA Championship Meet, ran the 10K event with a time of 39:11.26 to rank eighth on the all-time SF State list.
2012 CROSS COUNTRY: Lead the Gators for most of the season, grabbing a season-best time of 22:56 in the 6k for a third-place finish at the SF State Crystal Springs Invitational on Oct. 6 ... Also placed third in the 5K at the Oct. 13 Santa Clara Bronco Invitational ... Was named to the SF State Athletics Dean's List for the fall semester.
2012 TRACK: Carried the momentum of the cross country season into her first track campaign for the Purple and Gold, posting the squad’s top times in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters during the outdoor schedule … Appeared in the Division II top-30 poll for two straight weeks in the 10K after logging an effort of 36:50.12 at the SF State Distance Carnival, which ranks second in school history (Apr. 6) … Climbed into fourth place on the Gators’ all-time charts in the 5,000 after finishing third at Cal State Stanislaus’ Kim Duyst Invite with a time of 17:45 (March 3) … Also excelled during the indoor season, capturing the event title in the 3,000 meters at the Run for the Dream Invitational (Jan. 20) … Turned in a pair of top-20 finishes at the UW Husky Open in the 1-mile run (5:19.44) and 3,000 (10:34.90), which rank third and fourth, respectively, on the school’s all-time indoor charts (Feb. 12) … Was SF State’s female recipient of the CCAA Dr. Hal E. Charnofsky Award at the Gators’ student-athlete banquet.
2011 CROSS COUNTRY: Has already emerged as one of the finest distance runners in SF State history, leading the team in five of six races as a sophomore, just one season removed from the junior college ranks … Received CCAA Newcomer of Year honors after a fourth-place finish at the conference meet, where she established a new 6K school record of 21:30.10 (Oct. 22) … Became the Gators’ first female cross country competitor to garner all-region accolades since 2002 after finishing 17th overall with a 22:11 clocking at the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships (Nov. 12) … Posted top-five finishes in four additional meets, earning CCAA Runner of the Week recognition following her individual title at the Sonoma State Invitational (21:57) (Oct. 1) … Turned in a pair of third-place performances at the season-opening Notre Dame de Namur Invitational (23:21) (Sept. 3) and SF State Invitational (22:04.2) (Oct. 7) ... Also finished fifth at the highly competitive UW Sundodger Invite with a time of 22:09.60.
PRIOR TO SF STATE: Signed with the Gators out of the JC ranks after holding the unique distinction of running cross country at Oxnard College and competing in track and field at Moorpark College … Finished 17th out of 209 competitors at the 2010 California Community College cross country meet with a 5K time 18:50.24 at Woodward Park in Fresno … Logged a fifth-place performance in the 10K run at the state JC track championships in the spring of 2011 with a lifetime-best 38:35.85 clocking … Also established a new PR of 18:17.68 in the 5,000 at Cal State Fullerton’s Ben Brown Invitational earlier in the track season … Graduated in 2009 from Channel Islands High School … Collected her team’s most valuable runner honors and was a Coaches Award recipient … Also competed in basketball, softball and wrestling as a prep.
