Maiyo, Heath & Sang Help Army To Runner-Up Team Title At Army 10-Miler


(Colorado Springs, CO) - Augustus Maiyo and Kyle Heath (US Army/WCAP) and Edwin Sang aided the All Army team in finishing runner-up at in the International Team competition at last weekend's Army Ten Miler in Washington, D.C. Maiyo, who is preparing for the upcoming New York City Marathon, finished 7th in 49:00, while Heath was 10th in 49:43, with Sang 14th in 50:18.


The All Army team was bested by a strong Brazilian military team that was led by champion and runner-up Solonei Silva and Paulo Paula who were 7th and 8th in the World Championships marathon in August, respectively.

Green Man Taproom To Host ADP Fundraiser


(Colorado Springs, CO) - The soon-to-be-open Green Man Taproom & Beer Garden will host a fund raising event for the American Distance Project November 09 in Colorado Springs. Green Man, a project undertaken by ADP coach Scott Simmons, will host the Green Man Sneak Peek Beer Fest at the Carter-Payne Chapel, which will be the future home of the 50+ craft beer bar set to be open in February of 2014.


The event will feature unique beers from Green Man's future breweries and distributers including New Belgium, Back Country and more. The $35 ticket price covers the beer as well as gourmet food and music for the four-hour event. All proceeds will go to the non-profit American Distance Project in support of the development of American distance runners.
