ESTACADA, Ore.- The Lewis & Clark women's cross country team finished second out of 12 teams and the men's team placed eighth out of 13 teams at the L&C Invitational at McIver Park.

The men were paced by senior Jarrod Nixon who finished 25thwith a time of 26:11. Rounding out the top five L&C finishers were Brendy Hale (42nd, 26:41), Nicholas Ellis (57th, 27:17), Marc Steiner (70th, 27:43), and Andrew Muhn (93rd, 28:20).

Senior Kaitlyn Throgmorton was the top runner on the women's side finishing sixth with a time of 22:31. Melissa Newton-Mora finished next for the Pioneers with a time of 23:03 putting her in 13thplace. Rounding out the top five L&C finishers were Katherine Keith (17th, 23:09), Emily Fagan (22nd, 23:19), and Ali Brauer (31st, 23:29).

Lewis & Clark races next at the Northwest Conference Championship hosted by Whitworth at Down River Golf Course on November 2nd.
