Only 10 Exhibitor Booths Remaining

ACT QUICKLY if your company or organization would like to exhibit at the 2013 Running USA Industry Conference in Savannah as we only have 10 booths remaining! As a Running USA member, you have an opportunity to showcase products and services at the 2013 Industry Conference by becoming a sponsor or exhibitor. We expect 500 industry professionals, 60% of which are event owners, directors, and managers. Share Race Footage with Your Peers

Running USA is seeking event video footage to be incorporated into various montages for the 2013 conference. If your event has great video and would like to be included, please contact Bill Ivey, billivey@bellsouth.net, for additional details.



Morning Runs during Conference

Running routes in Savannah have been mapped by Running USA with support from DMSE. Participants in the daily morning runs will enjoy Savannah's historic sites. Additionally, Running USA is pleased to announce that local running club, Savannah Striders, will be assisting on site. This year we will be looking for some additional conference volunteers to assist with the daily runs. Interested in supporting your colleagues while they run around Savannah? Contact Christine@runningusa.org to sign up as a volunteer!


Running USA Expo Presence - Benefit for our Members

If you would like to have your event flyers or product information distributed at expos that Running USA attends, please contact nancy@runningusa.org. Next confirmed expos are the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute at Memorial Hermann EXPO at the Houston Marathon, January 11- 12, 2013, and the LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon Expo February 15-16, 2013.

365 Competitors Announces Partnership

365Competitors, LLC, announced that Sun Multisport Events has contracted with 365Competitors for the second year in a row to offer Registration Fee Protection for their events in 2013.



Pacific Sports LLC announces Event

On April 21, 2013, the inaugural Brooklyn 15 Kilometer Run (The "B15") officially replaces the Brooklyn Bun. The B15 will offer an additional 5k run for the shorter sprint participants and a 2k run for youth participants under 14 years old. Team Continuum is returning as the official charity for the Brooklyn 15K. Champion System has signed on as presenting sponsor for the Brooklyn.



ACTIVE Network Announces New Program

Sponsorships Available for Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon

The 36th Annual Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon is offering businesses the opportunity to get involved with one of Cleveland's largest sporting events. Through one of five levels of sponsorships available, businesses can expect to reach thousands of runners (more than 20,000 are expected for the 2013 event), supporters and spectators who attend marathon weekend events on May 18 and 19, for the 2013 "Cleveland Experience."

J&A Racing Announces Youth Fitness Initiative Recipients

J&A Racing announced that the 2013 recipients of the J&A Racing Youth Fitness Initiative - a grant program which makes fitness through racing affordable for disadvantaged elementary students - are Seatack Elementary School and Bettie F. Williams Elementary School, both located in Virginia Beach.

Nike Seeks Tax Guarantees to Expansion
Nike Inc., plans to expand its operations in Oregon and hire hundreds of workers but wants the the state's government to promise it won't change the state tax code. Read more at this link.

Reebok International Announces Restructuring
Reebok International Ltd. is eliminating about 65 positions at its Canton, MA, headquarters as part of a global reduction. In all, 150 jobs were reportedly eliminated as part of the global restructuring that included closing of its European office in Amsterdam and its Asia-Pacific office in Hong Kong.
