Gold Team Defends Bragging Rights In Intrasquad
The indoor season begins in earnest on January 12 with the UW Indoor Preview.
High School and Personal: Born in Vallejo, California ... parents are Rosalin and Lewis Pugh ... has one older sister, Dessare ... confirmed her status as one of the top recruits in the nation by winning the California Div. I state title her senior year in the 300-meter hurdles, running a U.S. leading time of 40.57 seconds ... that PR was nearly four-tenths of a second faster than the next best time in the nation, and was the No. 8 mark in U.S. history ... she also set the Sac-Joaquin Section record in the 100m hurdles, placing third in the state finals in 2012 in 13.69 seconds, ranking seventh among seniors nationally and 15th overall ... won the 2012 USATF Junior Olympic Nationals title in the 100m hurdles, running a PR of 13.61 seconds, and also ran the 400m hurdles in 60.88 seconds ... named the Daily Republic Athlete of the Year all four years of her career ... clocked a slightly wind-aided time of 13.73 at the 2012 Sacramento Meet of Champions ... won the 300-meter hurdles at the 2012 Arcadia Invitational in 42.98 seconds ... ran at the 2012 Brooks PR Invite in Washington's Dempsey Indoor, running 8.74 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, the 21st-fastest time nationally ... placed seventh at the California State Championships in 2011 in the 100-meter hurdles and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles finals ... her PR of 13.90 seconds at 100-meter hurdles ranked 19th nationally in 2011 ... as a sophomore, was 12th at the California state meet in the 100m hurdles and eighth at 300m hurdles ... reached state as just a freshman in 2009, placing 13th in the 100m hurdles and ninth in the 300m hurdles ... ran 42.63 in the 300m hurdles as a freshman, ranking 20th nationally ... also has a triple jump best of 38-3 ¼ and a long jump best of 18-1 ... graduated with a 3.63 GPA, held student office positions and was voted most spirited in high school.
