MANTECA - Ulysses Knapps does not want to come up an inch short again.
Knapps missed a trip to the 2010 CIF State Track and Field Championships in the long jump by just an inch, but he won that event Saturday in the 13th Sierra Tom Moore Relays at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium with a distance of 22 feet, 3 3/4 inches.
