INDIANAPOLIS - Antonio Manning, Regional Manager, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Global Philanthropy, has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.
“Antonio has taken lessons learned from a successful track & field career at USC and applied those to the business world,” noted Jackovic. “Those talents will also serve our board well."
In his capacity with the bank, Mr. Manning manages both philanthropic and community relations for the West and Southwest Regions of the United States. Prior to JPMorgan Chase, Antonio was First Vice President & Regional Grants Manager for Washington Mutual’s Community and External Affairs Division, joining the bank in 2000. At Washington Mutual, Manning managed community relations and company corporate contributions in affordable housing, community development and K-12 education for California.
Before joining WaMu, he served as Western Regional Director of the Fannie Mae Foundation for an 11-state region and spent four years on the program staff of the James Irvine Foundation.
A very active member of the community, Antonio is a founding member of African-Americans in Philanthropy, Southern California, a membership organization comprised of corporate and philanthropic executives. He is an appointed commissioner for the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority and serves on the Enterprise Leadership Advisory Council and the Advisory Board for the USC Center on Public Policy and Philanthropy.
Manning’s board affiliations include Abode Communities, Center Theatre Group, Coalition Responsible for Community Development, Community Development Technologies Center, Heritage Housing Partners, Los Angeles Business Council, Los Angeles Urban League and the Pasadena Arts Council.
Antonio is a Los Angeles native and attended the University of Southern California, where he was a star 200 meter sprinter.
The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging elite athletes, distance training centers and anti-doping education. The Foundation depends upon donations from its Board of Directors and from generous fans of track & field.
