In May, Lodi’s Michael Gonzalez and Sam Wright leaped their way into the CIF’s State Track and Field Championships with high marks in the pole vault at the section’s Masters meet at Elk Grove High.
Racing to the fall season, Liberty Ranch’s Collin Ullrich placed 14th in Division IV of the CIF State Cross-Country Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno. Tokay’s Andres Sandoval and Aldo Perez also advanced to the meet.
