Carter bounces back to victory
Absent from Rio 2016, Chris Carter (USA) landed first place in the triple jump at the MEETING de PARIS with a third-attempt jump of 16.92m, thereby registering his most eye-catching result of the season. The 27-year-old athlete saw off the challenges of Cuba’s Alexis Copello and Colombia’s John Murillo, who both finished two centimetres behind him with jumps of 16.90m. French triple jumpers Benjamin Compaoré and Harold Correa took sixth and ninth place respectively with efforts of 16.59m and 16.36m.
