Bett makes up for Olympic setback
After his cruel elimination from the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, where he stumbled on the final hurdle and failed to advance to the next round, Kenya’s Nicholas Bett made up for his disappointment in style by winning the 400m hurdles at the MEETING de PARIS. In doing so in 48:01 seconds, the 2015 world champion clocked his best time of the season. In addition, he defeated the Olympic champion and Diamond League leader Kerron Clement (USA), who finished in 48:19, and Turkey’s Yasmani Copello, who claimed third in 48:24. France’s Mamadou Kasse Hann finished seventh in 49:46.
