Williams Wins Cow Harbor 10k, While Cheseret Picks Up US 5k Bronze and Suver Posts A Big 1/2 Marathon PR


(Colorado Springs, CO) - Alisha Williams (adidas/BRC) kicked off a weekend of racing for the ADP with a commanding kick to win the Cow Harbor 10k in Newport, NY. After seven straight races, Williams finally earned the overall title by powering away from Stephanie Rothstein over the last 800-meters to win with an eleven-second margin in 32:59. Mattie Suver (Brooks) showed significant improvement with a 1-minute 35-second Personal Best at the Rock'n'Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon, finishing as the top American and in 7th place overall at 1:13:15. Full results at http://runrocknroll.competitor.com/philadelphia


With a later mid-morning start, Robert Cheseret (US Army/WCAP) did not disappoint at the US 5k Championships hosted by CVS Caremark Downtown 5k in Providence, RI, as a strong kick propelled him to 3rd-place over the last 200-meters. Results at http://www.runnerspace.com/USA-5km

ADP Book CANOVATHON: Conversations With Renato Canova, Master Distance Coach Released


(Colorado Springs, CO) - The American Distance Project released a new book, CANOVATHON: Conversations With Renato Canova, Master Distance Coach. The 132-page book is the first to detail the philosophies and coaching theories of Renato Canova in his own words. The book actually transcribes five hour-long conversations held between Canova and other well known coaches, including legendary distance coach Dr. Joe Vigil and Olympic swimming coach David Marsh.


The conversational format of the book helps to clarify and simply Canova's philosophies, making the book a must read for every coach, fan and athlete.
