Senior Ciarra Brewer (James Logan HS, Union City) won the triple jump at the Simplot Games in Pocatello, Idaho on February 19, 2011 at 42-3 1/2 to move into No. 8 on the U.S. all-time high school women's indoor list. She is also #5 on the California all-time indoor list. Her father Arno Brewer, a former triple jumper at Cal State Hayward (now CS East Bay), told me that she is going to the University of Florida in the fall.
