Ollie Matson (Washington, San Francisco 1948) died in Los Angeles on February 19, 2011 at the age of 80. He placed second in the Pacific AAU 440 yards on June 5, 1948 at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley. Herb McKenley (Jamaica) won in 46.0, a new world record.
