Dutra de Oliveira's 5.70m the high point in Sao Bernardo do Campo

Brazil's two-time world championships finallist Augusto Dutra de Oliveira cleared 5.70m to win the men's pole vault on home soil and provide the top performance at the IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Sao Bernardo do Campo on Sunday (19).
The 25-year-old Dutra de Oliveira cleared 5.60m at the third attempt to secure the win ahead of runner-up German Chiaraviglio of Argentina, who could manage a best of 5.50m on the day, and then cleared 5.70m at the third time of asking to record a big season's best.
Etiane Martins was best in the women's long jump with a best leap of 6.72m, adding two centimetres to her best for the highlight of the women's disciplines.
Colombia's John Murillo jumped a national record of 16.96m to defeat a horde of Brazilian athletes in the triple jump. Murillo's mark added 22cm to the record he set to win the Colombian Championships in Medellin earlier this year. The women's triple jump was won by Cuba's Liuba Zaldivar in 13.92m.
On the track, USA's Raven Clay [Unat; Findlay (Ohio) '12; Cody (Detroit, MI) HS '08] took a good win in the 100m hurdles, the American clocking a time of 13.04 (+0.5m/s).
Also over the barriers, Brazil's Altobeli da Silva was successful in the men's 3000m steeplechase in 8:32.24, while the women's 1500m was won by fellow Brazilian July da Silva in 4:19.01.
Lutmar Paes of Brazil defeated countryman Kleberson Davide to win a close men's 800m, with Paes given the verdict in 1:46.76 to Paes's 1:46.78.
In the sprints, Brazil's Vitor Hugo dos Santos earned a decisive win in the men's 100m, clocking 10.17 to take victory ahead of Bahrain's Andrew Fisher, who ran 10.21.
Venezuala's Nercely Soto was a convincing winner of the women's 200m in 23.14 ahead of Brazil's Kauiza Venancio, who clocked 23.33.
Colombia's Diego Palomeque impressed in the men's 400m, defeating one of the most international fields of the day to win in 45.86 from Trinidad and Tobago's Jarrin Solomon (45.97) and Venezuala's Alberth Bravo (46.03).
There was also an international winner in the women's hammer as Argentina's South American record holder Jennifer Dalhgren took the victory with 65.43m.
The women's shot put was won by Brazil's Geisa Arcanjo with 17.70m, while compatriot Fernando Ferreira comfortably won the men's high jump with 2.21m.
