Running USA's Christine Bowen Promoted to VP of Programming and Operations

WICHITA, Kan. - Running USA, the national non-profit trade organization for running events and businesses, announced the promotion of Christine Bowen to Vice President of Programming and Operations. With Bowen shifting into a more substantial leadership position, Running USA will continue to lead the sport of road running through more content-driven and event-based efforts.

"Christine has been a linchpin for Running USA for years, providing increasing amounts of value for our members," said Running USA CEO Rich Harshbarger. "Having Christine assume the role of Vice President of Programming and Operations helps our company move forward in a more strategic and effective manner."

For the past six years, Bowen has led Running USA's event efforts, including the annual Running USA Industry Conference. Over the past year, she's added an additional summer conference, launched a series of Connect Events and managed the creation of numerous educational efforts.

"To take on key additional operational responsibilities and work with Rich and the rest of the team on growing our organization is a challenge I am incredibly excited about," said Bowen.
