This December, over 3,000 youth athletes will journey to Myrtle Beach, SC for the 2014 USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships. The City of Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce welcome all athletes and their families for a memorable weekend of competition and comradiere. The course at Whispering Pines, located just one-half mile from the Atlantic Ocean and site of the 2011 Championships, features several elevation changes with excellent viewing areas all around the course. Whether you’ve competed at our first class venues in the past, or this is your first visit, we wish you a successful competition and invite you to take in much of what Myrtle Beach has to offer, including hundreds of restaurants, unique shopping, attractions and a variety of live Holiday shows.
Competition takes place in five two-year age divisions, ranging between the ages of 7 and 18. Check the USATF calendar for meet listings to find where you can begin your journey to the National Championships and the experience of a lifetime.
