Membership Director Announces Departure

I have enjoyed nearly six years as membership director of Running USA that has also included e-publishing Running USA Industry News on a weekly basis. My tenure comes to an end Friday, December 5. The people I've met and the bonds I've forged will carry over to my continued pursuits in the running industry primarily centered on mountain, ultra, trail, and snow running. Be sure to follow my adventures near and far on Twitter @NanoOnTrails, and feel free to reach out to me at any time by phone, 719-573-4133, or by email: nanohobbs@gmail.com.

Running USA Announces New Event
Running the Next Generation will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton Chicago - Magnificent Mile on Sunday and Monday, June 28 and 29, 2015.

Help us Grow Our Sport...Donate Today!

Running USA is leading the way in promoting running and we cannot continue to do this without your support, therefore we have redesigned our fundraising program. We are no longer going to hold silent/live and reverse auctions at our annual conference, instead, we have created an online donation page at this link to help make giving easy. Our goal is simple: to raise 50,000 dollars by February, 1, 2015. One hundred percent of your tax-free donation will support under-funded programs that promote running.

Running USA Expo Presence Benefit for our Members

Running USA attends 8-10 expos per year. To have your event flyers or product information distributed at expos Running USA attends, contact peter@runningusa.org. Upcoming confirmed expos are Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute EXPO, January 16-17, 2015, and Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon Expo and Packet Pickup, April 23-24, 2015.

Member Profile:Race Entry

Race Entry is consistently producing new ways for race directors to increase their event participation. A few of our most popular features that race directors have loved using include: the incentivized social integration, the incomplete registration reminders, the automated runner referral incentives, and the group discount feature. These, along with many other tools, have helped race directors from across the country increase the success of their race.

In addition to helping races grow, Race Entry gives race directors tools to measure the effectiveness of their marketing strategies. One example of this

is the metrics for the social integration tool. The race can choose a particular message and discount for their social integration which will be displayed on their registration form. The admin inside RaceEntry.com shows the number of times someone shared on Facebook, the number of times someone clicked from those Facebook shares to come to the registration page, and the total discounts given. This helps track the effectiveness of the discounted sharing from the registration page. The Utah Valley Marathon had nearly 30% of it's participants come from discounted shares on their registration page with RaceEntry.com.

In addition to offering superior race registration software, Race Entry offers FREE Race Maps, and FREE searchable online race results. The race results and the race maps are free for any race director to use regardless of whether they choose to use the RaceEntry.com registration platform.

Contact membership@runningusa.org if you would like to see your event or company featured.
