ADP Athletes Garner Year-End Awards & Rankings


(Colorado Springs, CO) - The American Distance Project closed out 2013 with a myriad of annual awards and rankings.


Newcomer Joe Gray (Scott Sports) earned both USA Track & Field's Lyndon Ellefson Memorial Mountain Runner of the Year Award and Competitor Magazine's Trail Runner of the Year. He was also named USA Track & Field's Athlete of the Week for December 18th after winning the U.S. National Club Cross Country Championships.


Matt Elliott (Brooks) was ranked by Track & Field News magazine as the 7th best U.S. 1500-meter runner for 2013, while Mattie Suver (adidas/BRC) was ranked as the 7th best American in the 10,000-meters. Suver was also rated as the10th-best female Runner of the Year by Running Times magazine.


Teammate Brianne Nelson (adidas/BRC) was listed as 8th best in the 10,000-meters by TFN as well, with Alisha Williams ranking 9th in the 5,000-meters.


In addition, Suver and Daniel Tapia (Mizuno) were both awarded Road Runners Club of America's Roads Scholar Awards.




ADP athletes also secured a multitude of spots on the annual World, U.S., & Collegiate performance lists by year's end:
