imATHLETE Launches One-Click Lottery System

imATHLETE recently launched a groundbreaking new one-click lottery system. Truly unique, imATHLETE's one-click lottery platform was successfully unveiled during the opening of the celebrated Medtronic TC 10 Mile lottery and the Zions Bank Ogden Marathon.



FuelBelt Race Team Announces Sponsor

The Rhode Island-based FuelBelt Race Team announced Lagunitas Brewing Company as a new team sponsor. The FuelBelt Race Team was founded 10 years ago by Vinu Malik, a 36-time Ironman !nisher and also the CEO of FuelBelt. Inc., and Xtri.com. The team is comprised of over 150 athletes who generally train and race in New England, but who also travel the world to some of the greatest endurance events. The FuelBelt Race Team will represent Lagunitas at training, racing and social events throughout the year.



Rock 'n' Roll Race Unveils Improvements

Rock 'n' Roll USA Marathon & CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Rock 'n' Roll USA 1/2 Marathon returns to Washington, DC, on March 15. The event will feature a sprawling new finish line area at RFK Stadium, and UPS trucks will be utilized to transport participant gear bags from the start to the finish. The new finish area will provide more space for runners to safely and efficiently retrieve their belongings.



Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon Returns

The 2014 Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon opened for registration on December 12. Produced by Destination Races, the 5th annual race will be held on August 31, 2014, in Oregon's Willamette Valley. This popular Labor Day Weekend also includes a 2-person relay option.



Twin Cities In Motion Launches Registration

Twin Cities In Motion (TCM), the organizer of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and a host of year-round running events in Minneapolis and St. Paul, recently opened registration for five TC Challenge race series set for 2014, four of them new to the TCM line-up.



SilverLine Provides Digital Engagement

SilverLine Athletics partnered with Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) this year to incorporate a digital media strategy and analytics. For several months leading up to "The People's Marathon," SilverLine customized a hosted video playback and distribution network on which MCM leveraged fun and informative race-specific original content. Hosting event updates, engaging athlete information and motivational videos, SilverLine's technology helped track and increase MCM's digital audience engagement leading up to, during and after the race.



GO! St. Louis Announces New Event

GO! St. Louis announced a new one day, 82-Mile Trail Relay, named KT82 (katy82), which is set for August 30, 2014. The KT82 is the newest entry into the growing number of endurance events that the organization currently presents on a yearly-basis. The majority of the 82-mile course will be run on the scenic Katy Trail.



ACTIVE Network to Power Divas Half Marathon

ACTIVE Network celebrates its third year with Continental Event and Sports Management as the technology partner for their flagship event, Divas Half Marathon and 5K. The Divas Half Marathon is uniquely tailored to women, complete with personalized bibs, feather boas and tiaras, and champagne and roses at the finish line.


Double Bridge Run Presented by Publix Announces Sponsor

The Double Bridge Run Presented by Publix announced it will host its packet pick-up and event expo for the 2014 event at the Holiday Inn Resort in Pensacola Beach. The expo will be held January 30-31, with the race following on February 1, 2014.

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series Tour Schedule Announced

Competitor Group, Inc. (CGI), unveiled the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Tour Schedule for the 2014 series which includes 24 destinations in North America and seven European cities.

Icespike recently welcomed its newest Icespike Ambassador, Eric Blake. Among Blake's accomplishments are six U.S. Mountain Running Team appearances at the World Mountain Running Championships. In 2013, Blake was victorious at both the Mt. Washington Road Race and Pikes Peak Ascent. Blake joins Icespike Ambassador Michele Yates in this program.



Competitor Group, Inc., (CGI), announced that its board of directors has named Paul F. Walsh as interim CEO and George Gresham as interim CFO while it conducts a worldwide search to find a permanent replacement for Scott Dickey and Steve Gintowt, both of whom are transitioning out of the company.



The Houston Marathon Committee (HMC) announced the election of former member of the HMC Board of Directors Denny Morse into the Houston Marathon Hall of Fame. Morse was honored by the Houston Marathon Committee on December 12, at the 2014 Hall of Fame Reception.
