Third Places For Elliott At Falmouth Mile and Dey At GNC Liberty MIle

(Colorado Springs, CO) - Both Matt Elliott (Brooks) and Dey Dey (adidas/BRC) finished in third place at the Falmouth Mile and GNC Liberty Mile, respectively, on the weekend.

Elliott waited until the final turn to attempt to past the field over the last 100-meters, but his move was too late as Ben Blankenship extended his lead from the front with Will Leer in tow. Elliott swung wide and while he powerfully moved up out in lane three, it wasn't enough to catch the duo as he finished with a time of 3:57.45. Elliott picked up $500 in prize money and $500 sub 3:58 bonus. Video of the finish can be found at http://instagram.com/p/c2kg1ZpTfj/

Dey ran into a similar fate on the roads at the GNC Liberty Mile being blocked from passing by Jordan MacNamara who attempted to steal the lead from Macklin Chaffee in the final meters of the race. The duo would photo finish with Chafee getting the nod, while Dey had to settle for third in 4:01.2, but earned a $1500 payday.
