Coaching Education
Inaugural Youth USATF Coaching Education Level 2 School:
August 1-5 in Sacramento: Inaugural Youth Level 2 School in Sacramento, immediately following the USATF National Junior Olympics T&F Championships this summer.
The USATF Coaching Education Level 2-Youth Specialization program is designed to address the needs of coaches who want an advanced course of coaching the youth athlete to their full potential. The Level 2 Youth Specialization program covers advanced sport science curriculum in four broad event areas with special attention given to the unique methodology needed to supervise the developing young athlete. The Youth coach will get training in the areas of growth and development, nutrition, training theory, sport psychology, and event specific sport science for the youth athlete. The residential school consists of 4.5 days of intense classroom and on the field training.

USATF Coaching Education Event Specific Level 2 School:
July 10-17 at Villanova University, Philadelphia: Standard eight day academy style Level 2 School with event group specialization in throws, endurance, sprint/hurdles/relays, and jumps. For full information, go to http://www.usatf.org/groups/Coaches/education/level2.asp

USATF High Performance Emerging Elite Camp:
28 June- 3 July, 2010-US Chula Vista Olympic Training Center: For High School, Club or College coaches who have had success coaching athletes at the State or National level.
This multiple day camp involves intensive science-based study and hands-on application in the broad event areas. It is for coaches seeking advanced information, strategies and tactics, with an eye towards elevating their coaching and taking their athletes to the elite level. Association Open T&F Championships:

USATF National Masters Track and Field Championships:
22-25 July: at Sacramento State: The meet will feature athletes ranging in age from 30-95+ in a display of speed, strength, and endurance for all ages. Track events will range from 100 meters to 10,000 meters, while field events will include the full range of jumps and throws. For further information:

Call for nominations for National High School Coach of the Year:
Honor your high school coach by nominating him/her for the brand new Gill Athletics National High School Coach of the Year Award! Describe your candidate's coaching record, honors and recognitions as well as highlight his/her service to the sport, school, and community.

2010 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships:
