Track Adds 10 Signees to 2010 Class
Baylor will add three men and seven women to bring the signing total to 17

WACO, Texas - Baylor track and field head coach Todd Harbour announced the signing of 10 more student-athletes to his 2010 recruiting class on Thursday. The additional signees bring the total to 17 for the 2010-11 academic year.

Harbour will add three men and seven women, including four sprinters, one middle distance runner, two distance runner, and three in the field events. In the class, five are Texas natives, while signees from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Alaska, Maryland and Australia round out the group.

"As a coaching staff, we are all very excited to add this group of outstanding young men and women to the Baylor family," Harbour said. "With the addition of this group to our previous crew, we feel very good about this class, but our recruiting is still ongoing."

Hunter Brook - Jumps - Houston, Texas (Strake Jesuit College Preparatory)
Two-time Texas UIL District 18-5A champion in the high jump for Strake Jesuit, helping his team to a runner-up finish as a senior in 2010...Placed fourth in both the 300-meter hurdles and the triple jump at the district meet...Named the Most Outstanding Athlete at the Stratford Invitational as a senior...Placed eighth in the high jump at the Texas UIL Region 3-5A meet...Personal best of 6-4 in the high jump...Three-year letterman in track and field, also competing in basketball three years.

Brad Miles - Distance/XC - Hatfield, Pa. (North Penn High School)
Became the first cross country state champion from North Penn High School since 1980 in 2009...Named the Gatorade Cross Country Runner of the Year in Pennsylvania in 2009...First Pennsylvania Athlete to win the Foot Locker Northeast Regional title since 1998...Ran for head coach Mike Werner...Won the Suburban One League Continental Conference and District One Class AAA title in cross country...Top 3,200-meter runner in track in the Continental Conference...Placed 21st at the Foot Locker Nationals in 2009...Placed seventh as a junior and 10th as a sophomore at the state cross country meet...Personal bests of 15:20 in 5,000-meter cross country, 9:36.04 at 3,200 meters, and 4:20.04 at 1,600 meters...Serves as president of his local chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Woodrow Randall - Sprints - Marietta, Ga. (Southwest Mississippi Community College)
Three-time NJCAA All-American at Southwest Mississippi CC...Placed second in the national indoor 55-meter dash as a freshman...Placed third in the 100 meters and 4x100-meter relay at the national outdoor meet...Also qualified for the national meet in the 200 meters both indoor and outdoor...Helped SMCC to seventh-place team finish at the NJCAA Outdoor Championships in 2009...Won the 2010 LSU Relays title in the 100 meters and 4x100-meter relay...Has personal bests of 10.30 at 100 meters and 21.07 at 200 meters...At Marietta High School, won both the 100-meter and 200-meter Georgia state titles as a senior in 2007...Helped MHS to a runner-up team finish at the 2007 state meet...Also ran the third leg on the state champion 4x100-meter relay team, and the anchor leg on the 4x400-meter relay team.

Symphony Bagsby - Sprints - Anchorage, Alaska (Dimond High School)
Helped Dimond High School relay teams to runner-up finishes at the Alaska state meet in the 4x200 and 4x400-meter relays...Placed third at the state 4A meet in the 400 meters as a junior, and placed third in both the 200 and 400 meters at state as a sophomore...Helped DHS relays to regional championships in the 4x200 and 4x400 as a sophomore...Placed second in the 400 meters at the regional meet as junior, and third as a sophomore...Has personal bests of 59.81 in the 400 meters, and 26.91 in the 200 meters.

Robyn Bennett - Distance - Ayr, Queensland, Australia (Burkedin Catholic High School)
Won the 3,000-meter national title in 2009 at the Australia All Schools Track and Field Championships, while also placing third in the 2,000-meter steeplechase...Placed second in the 3,000 meters in 2006 and 2007 at the National Athletics Final...Won the 1,500 meters at the Queensland Track and Field Championships, also placing third in the 2,000-meter steeplechase...Placed second at the Queensland Secondary School Championships in 2009...Has a personal best of 7:16.95 in the 2,000-meter steeplechase and 10:11 at 3,000 meters.

"Robyn Bennett is an outstanding junior steeplechaser and is excited about coming to Baylor all the way from Queensland, Australia. She will help fill the void that seniors Erin Bedell and Danielle Bradley leave after this year.

Katelyn Cranfill - Sprints - China Spring, Texas (China Spring High School)
Owns four school records at China Spring HS, including the 100, 200, 4x200 and 4x400...Won the Texas UIL Region 1-3A championship in 200 meters, while placing second in the 100 as a senior...Became the District 7-3A champion in the 100 and 200, while placing second in the 4x400 as a senior...Placed fifth in the 200 meters and sixth in the 100 meters at the Class 3A state meet as a junior...Personal bests of 24.94 at 200 meters and 12.29 at 100 meters. Jennifer Gueldner - PV/Jumps - Houston, Texas (Clear Lake High School)
Two-time Texas UIL District 24-5A pole vault champion...Also placed second in the district high jump as a junior and third as a senior...Placed fifth in the Region 3-5A pole vault as a senior and sixth as a junior...Won the pole vault back-to-back years and the high jump once at the Brown Relays.

Alyssa Nichols - Sprints - Cedar Hill, Texas (Cedar Hill High School)
Won the Texas UIL Region 1-5A championship in the 400 meters and 4x100-meter relay as a senior...Also won the District 7-5A championship in the 200 meter, 400 meters, and 4x100-meter relay in 2010...Placed third in the 4x400-meter relay at the regional meet as a senior...Won the 100, 200, and 4x400 at the district meet as a junior, while also placing fourth in the 100 and 200 at the regional meet. Has personal bests of 11.91 at 100 meters, 24.64 at 200 meters, and 54.08 at 400 meters.

Brittany Ogunmokun - Middle Distance - Landover, Md. (Temple University/Seton Hall University)
Transferred to Seton Hall from Temple where she placed fourth at the Atlantic-10 Indoor Championships in the 800 meters...Won the 500 meters at the ECAC Indoor Championships...Ran a leg on 4x400-meter relay team that won the title at the ECAC Indoor Championships...Prior to college, set a national high school girls record with the 4x800-meter relay team at the 2008 Penn Relays with a time of 8:43...Part of the United States' top-ranked 4x400 and 4x800-meter relay teams in 2008...Finished third in the 800 meters at the Maryland state meet in 2008.

"Brittany Ogunmokun joins us from Seton Hall after their program was dropped this year. She had an outstanding high school career at one of the top high school programs in the nation. She is an outstanding young lady and will join a deep group of long sprinters."

Jessica Shadley - Hurdles/Jumps - Carrollton, Texas (Prince of Peace Christian)
Won back-to-back TAPPS state titles in the pole vault in 2008 and 2009, while also placing third in the high jump and 300-meter hurdles in 2009...Was the state runner-up in the high jump and pole vault as a freshman in 2007...Two-time TAPPS district champion in the pole vault and 100-meter hurdles, while also running a leg on the three-time district champion 4x400-meter relay team for Prince of Peace Christian...Helped high school to North Region titles in the 4x400-meter relay each of the last two seasons...Also won the district championship in the high jump, long jump, and 300-meter hurdles as a sophomore...Won the last three North Regional pole vault titles...Has personal bests of 11-0 in the pole vault, 18-0 in the long jump, and 14.91 in the 100-meter hurdles.
