Deanna Hill won the women’s 200m dash with a personal best and national-leading time, Randall Cunningham placed second in the men’s high jump and Margaux Jones took third in the women’s long jump during the first day of the Razorback Invitational held at Tyson Randal Track complex in Fayetteville, Ark. today (Jan. 27). • Deanna Hill closed the day’s action for USC by winning the women’s 200m race in the 12th and final heat. She ran a PR and national-leading time of 22.94, the only runner to go sub-23.00. The time also improved her second-place standing on USC’s all-time indoor list in the event. Kendall Ellis had a PR of 23.15 to win her heat, take third overall and move to third on USC’s all-time list. Ky Westbrook won her heat with a season-best time of 23.68 to finish ninth and Destinee Brown had a season-best time of 23.82 to finish 13th. Kyra Constantine had a PR of 24.20 to win her heat and finish 20th and Jasmyne Graham had a PR of 24.46 to win her heat finish 26th. • Just’N Thymes looked to have won his heat with a PR of 20.72 in the men’s 200m dash, but was later disqualified for stepping over the inside of his lane around the corner. • Randall Cunningham took second in the men’s high jump with a clearance of 7-2.25 (2.19m). He was in the lead through that height with only one miss, but Darius Carbin of Georgia cleared 7-3.25 (2.22m) in his first attempt before missing on his three attempts at the next height. • Margaux Jones took third in the women’s long jump with a season-best jump of 20-9.25 (6.33m). Courtney Corrin placed seventh with a best jump of 19-11.00 (6.07m) which bettered her ninth-place standing on USC’s all-time list. Madisen Richards took 14th with a best jump of 18-11.75 (5.78m). • Dominic Smallwood took 13th in the men’s long jump with a best leap of 23-6.00 (7.16m). • David Sellens also finished 13th in the men’s weight throw with a best mark of 54-5.50 (16.60m). • The day began with Lyndsey Lopes placing 8th in the pentathlon with a career-best 3,754 points, while Alexa Harmon Thomas finished 13th with 2,747 points. Lopes bettered her second-place standing on USC’s all-time indoor pentathlon list. • In the pentathlon 60m hurdles, Lopes had a PR of 8.87 to finish seventh and earn 937 points. Harmon-Thomas ran had a season-best time of 9.90 to finish ninth and earn 891 points. • In the pentathlon high jump, Lopes had a PR of 5-7.00 (1.70m) to tie for fourth in the event and earn 855 points. Harmon-Thomas cleared 5-4.50 (1.64m) to place eighth in the event and earn 783 points. • In the pentathlon shot put, Lopes had a best mark of 34-2.00 (10.38m) to place eighth in the event and earn 556 points. Harmon-Thomas had a season-best shot put of 33-8.50 (10.27m) to finish ninth in the event and earn 547 points. • In the pentathlon long jump, Lopes had a PR of 18-3.25 (5.57m) to place seventh in the event and earn 720 points. Harmon-Thomas fouled in all three attempts and fell to 13th place overall. • In the pentathlon 800m, Lopes ran 2:30.52 to finish 9th in the event and earn 686 point. Harmon-Thomas ran 2:44.13 to finish 13th in the event and earn 526 points.
