High School: Acalanes HS Michael Wang's up-to-date results As a Junior (2016-17) Wang began his junior cross country season by finishing 119th at the Spiked Shoe Invitational and finished it with an 84th place finish at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships. Wang finished a season-best fifth overall at the John Reif Memorial Run. As a Sophomore (2015-16) Wang ran in four cross country meets during his sophomore season, posting a season-best ninth-place finish at the John Reif Memorial. On the track, he competed in the non-traditional 2K steeplechase at the Cornell April Cabin Fever Indoor Invitational, winning the event. He also picked up a first-place finish in the 3K steeplechase outdoors at the Big Red Invitational. As a Freshman (2014-15) Wang continued to improve over the course of his freshman season, posting his best time at Princeton when he finished in 25:24. On the track, he finished third in the 3K Steeplechase (9:36.48) at the Cornell Invitational. Before Cornell Wang had a very successful junior season at Acalanes, taking home 1st place in the 1600 with a personal best time of 4:14.67 at the 2013 Sacramento Meet of Champions. He will look to make an immediate impact in the distance races for the Big Red. |
