Vaulters, Coaches, Parents,
In the summer of 2017, YSTFC will put on 6 all-comer pole vault meets. Like the last two years, we will host five regular meets and conclude the series with a sixth and final championship meet. As before, we will award trophies to the winners in each of the following four divisions:
- High School Boys*
- High School Girls*
- Men's Open/Collegiate/Masters
- Women's Open/Collegiate/Masters
Winners will be determined by adding the vaulter’s final height at each of the first five meets together with three times their final height at the championship meet**. The winner will be the one that has the highest cumulative height within each division. Winners will receive their trophies at the conclusion of championship meet. We will also award a PR medal to each regular meet’s most improved vaulter. We’re pretty excited about this format and we hope you are too.
NEWS FLASH!! One change of note. This year we will be splitting each regular meet into two sessions. The first session will have an opening height of around 6 feet and will start at 11:00 AM. The second session will have an opening height of around 10 feet and will start no earlier than 1:00 PM. Start time of the second session is dependent on the number of vaulters in the first session and when that session ends. Don't worry, plenty of warm-up time will be allowed before the start of the second session. The series championship meet will be one session only and will start at 11:00 AM.
The cost to compete is $10 per vaulter and the meets are free to spectators, so come and support your favorite vaulter. Registration is day-of, no need to pre-register. Please however, make sure you show up before registration is closed which is generally 10 minutes before each session's start time which is 11:00 AM for session one and 1:00 PM for session two. Doors open at 9:00 AM. For insurance purposes, a valid USATF membership number and a liability waiver is required.

USATF 2017
Liability Waiver
In addition to USATF membership, liability waiver is required. It can be downloaded from the YSTFC Website at http://www.ystfc.org. Have your parents fill it out bring it to your first meet. Don’t worry, if you forget yours, we’ll have copies. Just remember to bring a parent. Liability forms are kept on file and are only required once for the series each year.
*Graduating seniors will be considered to be in the High School Division.
**Attendance at every meet is not required for awards, but it is highly recommended.
