National Running Survey Seeks Input
Running USA will begin data collection on the National Runner Survey in just a few short weeks. In the past we have partnered with running organizations all across the nation to help us disseminate the survey link. Last year over 30,000 runners participated in the survey (60 plus organizations), allowing Running USA to publish the results of this study and share with the running industry important data on the demographics, lifestyle, attitudes, habits, and product preferences of the running population nationwide. The National Runner Survey is released every two years, and we need your help to get the word out!
How can you help? It's easy!
1. Respond to this email that you want to partner with us, it's free!
2. In a few weeks, we will send you the link to the National Runner survey, which you will then share with your running population (either on Facebook, twitter, blog, website, a newsletter, or targeted email)
3. When runner's from your population take the survey the results come to us and are added to the national sample. If your organization receives 100 or more responses, then we will send you free data results for your sample!
Running USA will be collecting data until December 15, 2014. You may choose when to send out the survey link to your runners anytime this fall. At the end of the data collection period we will send you free data results for your organization (minimum response rate is 100 for us to send you a report). The data results we send you are just the results received from your organization and not the results for our nationwide study. If you are interested in receiving a full, comprehensive report, the National Runner Survey will be available for purchase in the Spring of 2015.

Pensacola Sports Association Announces Partnership
The Pensacola Sports Association (PSA) and Joe Zarzaur of the Zarzaur Law, PA firm announced a new partnership which will enhance and encourage participants of the 2014 Pensacola Marathon to be held November 9, and 2015 Pensacola Double Bridge Run to be held February 7.
Long Beach City Bank Marathon Announces Sponsorship
The Long Beach International City Bank Marathon & Half Marathon announced that Chobani Greek Yogurt has become an Official Product Sponsor of the 30th Anniversary event to be held October 12, 2014. As part of their involvement, Chobani will be rewarding Full and Half Marathon finishers with a celebration treat of Greek Yogurt immediately after they cross the finish line.
JUST RUN Youth Fitness Program Offered as Graduate Level Class
The University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA has partnered with the Big Sur International Marathon to offer its JUST RUN youth fitness program as an accredited UOP graduate level course. The program is one of many course offerings available to teachers in California and other states throughout the nation for professional enrichment and salary advancement.
ZOOMA Announces Partnership
ZOOMA Women's Race Series and Feetures! Performance Socks announce their continued partnership. Feetures! will serve as the Official Performance Sock for ZOOMA's 2015 series of women's half marathon race weekends and will provide each participant with a pair of their High Performance socks as part of the race's Signature Swag Bag.
MCM Weekend Events Announced
Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) participants are gearing up for an exhilarating four-day weekend this October including motivating experiences such as the First Timers Pep Rally, Runners bRUNch and Runners Conference. Each of these events opened for registration on September 10, with limited space available. One of the events during the weekend is the MCM Kids Run on October 25, which will host 3,600 youngsters.
Fetal Health Foundation Announces Sponsor
The Great Candy Run welcomes Jacksonville-based Black Knight Financial Services as the presenting sponsor for the 2014 Great Candy Run to be held in Atlantic Beach on September 27, 2014. Black Knight is the presenting sponsor of the 5K run portion of the weekend's event.
Registration Available for Boston Marathon
Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon reopened September 15, and will continue through Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. ET. During this period, any eligible qualifier may submit an application for entry. Entry is not first-come, first-served during this period.

Chris Sell was chosen as the winning artist for the 2014 Mankato Marathon Commemorative Print contest. Artists were prompted by the Mankato Marathon, presented by Mayo Clinic Health System to design a visual concept representing the fifth anniversary of the Mankato Marathon, coming up on October 19. In Sell's 2014 design, he incorporates the Mankato Marathon colors and presents the word "Strive" in bold letters. Sell stated that the Mankato Marathon has become one of the most respected athletic and family-oriented events in the state and his design pays tribute to not only the athletes that compete, but the organizers and businesses that prepare for and host the event.
Jack Bolas and Heather Kampf won the inaugural Bring Back the Mile Grand Prix Tour 2014 titles with 24 and 36 points, respectively, and each GP champion earned $2000.
Former champions Sergio Reyes and Jeannette Faber will headline the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on October 5, which will host the 2014 USA Men's and Women's Marathon Championships. On the masters' side, Mbarak Hussein, winner of a record four USA Masters Marathon titles, and two-time USA Masters Marathon women's champion Sheri Piers will return to defend their crowns.
