Grace and Katie Open Cross-Country Season In Washington State
Grace Thompson and Katie Harris both represented Collingwood in the Sundodger Invitational meet hosted by the University of Washington today in Seattle. This meet featured many of the top runners in both BC and Washington so the competition was fierce. Grace finished 7th, while Katie was 13th. These were outstanding results for both girls.

Grace Thompson and Emma Rastad Win National Championships In Track
Grace Thompson and Emma Rastad capped their summer vacations by each winning a gold medal at The Legion National Youth Track and Field Championships. This meet brings together the best young track stars in the country so it was a significant win for both girls.
Grace won the U-18 girls 1500m race with a time of 4:33.32. She also ran a 2:12.24 in the 800m race. Emma jumped 5.50 to win the U-16 girls longjump. Congratulations to both girls. Their Collingwood cross-country and track coaches can't wait to get them back into school colours for events this year.
